"How many continents can be lost, anyhow?!"

Films: The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973)

Alias: Homunculus, stone figurehead, Kali, one-eyed Centaur, Griffin

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area/Haunted home/Underground

Height/Weight:

Affiliation: Good (Griffon), Evil (Everyone else)

Summary: Once again, Sinbad takes to the sails of adventure in yet another journey filled with villains, women, and monsters. He's noticeably a bit more stern here, and beardy too.

History: With a heavily disfigured Grand Vizier and a hearty crew at his side, Sinbad is off to the lost continent of Lemuria in order to find the golden tablets and the key to making the Vizier a true sultan via the Fountain of Destiny. However, the natives are a bit iffy with newcomers, and the evil sorcerer Prince Koura is intervening any way he can with his blood magic, summoning little Homunculi and resurrecting giant statues all the way.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The Homunculus is shot by an arrow and killed, the figurehead is cast into the sea, Kali is shoved over a platform and smashes on the ground, and while the centaur manages to kill the griffon after Koura cheats, Sinbad shoves a sword into it and kills it.

Powers/Abilities: The Homunculus can teleport, and Kali can summon swords, and is made of impenetrable stone.

Weakness: Anything conventional, though one needs to divert Kali’s attention meaningfully to hurt her.

Scariness Factor: 4-These may not be the most powerful monsters Sinbad has faced, but they are pretty intimidating, minus the rather creepy-cute Homunculus. Kali stands out as being quite possibly the greatest swordsman of all monsters. When you have six arms, you use them to their fullest.

Trivia: -Kali, in Hindu mythology, is a goddess meant to vanquish evil. She is the goddess of creation and power, and is often depicted dancing on her willing partner, the god Shiva.

-Due to his performance as Koura, Tom Baker managed to land the role as the 4th Doctor in the series, "Dr.Who".
